In these days of online business, seeing a new business that goes from zero to $20,000 a month in their first month is like hoping to win the lottery. Unfortunately, making this kind of money fast with no prior knowledge of internet marketing is hard to do - and is probably impossible.
Now there are some people who start out and start making a few hundred dollars every month in their business. I see this happen all the time. Their secret is finding a good niche, creating a good product, and implementing a strong backend marketing plan. One of the techniques that a lot of newbies use with great success is forum marketing.
There are a ton of forums out there on the internet, and I'm confident that you can find a forum in your niche too. Start off with a search on Google about a forum in your niche, or simply visit a forum directory like "Big Boards" to find a herd of forums in your niche. Like I said, it's very easy to find forums in your niche.
Now once you find a few forums in your niche, it's time to start marketing on them. You should strive to make at least 2 forum posts per day. At the end of the month that will give you 60 forum posts, and at the end of the year, that would be 720 forum posts. You could easily go from being perceived as a novice to "expert" status immediately.
Make sure you make a lot of friends on the forums. Some will ask if you want to do a joint venture, some will want to exchange strategies, some will want to talk to you via skype, and some will just want to become business colleagues. Heck, don't be surprised if you're able to meet the love of your life on a forum lol.
But seriously though, forums are great for connecting with others and also to get some website promotion. And the more you post, the more you will be able to increase the likelihood that people will click on the link in your signature, and buy something or subscribe to your newsletter.
One forum that I'm a part of is a forum called the "Warrior Forum". It's an internet marketing forum, and it's the number 1 internet marketing forum on the internet. Everyday people join and ask questions, and within minutes, their question gets answered - and some of the best advice is given.
You should join this forum also if you want to learn more things about internet marketing, and get some help and support for your efforts. But don't make this the only forum that you join. Be sure to get out there and start joining forums in your niche and start participating on them. Don't procrastinate - take action, NOW!
This is a great and free way to explode your traffic. Your sales will increase, you'll gain new customers, and one day, you should consider starting a forum of your own. You could use this as your social marketing strategy. There's nothing like "owning" traffic. It's a powerful thing.
