Websites vary wildly in design and content, but they were all created with some marketing purpose in mind, such as attracting more buyers, leads, clients, patients, members, donors, followers, etc., or promoting a personal brand or enterprise. To that end, researchers have analyzed which content elements of site pages and blog posts determine the strength or weakness of their ability to influence the behavior of online viewers.
SEO metrics alone, however, do not paint the full picture of optimal website effectiveness. In fact, search algorithms that now hunt for high-quality content factors have prompted top marketing gurus to advise us not to rely so heavily on keywords, but rather to focus on upgrading the quality of our websites' content.
