5 Top Tips For Starting an Affiliate Marketing Business

By Michael J Cheney  |   Submitted On August 26, 2016

So you've decided to start an affiliate marketing business - congratulations! There is such a lot of choice out there, and you've made a very smart decision.

Fear not, here are five really helpful tips to help you out.

1. Take Action... Now!

Seems obvious I know, but is one of the reasons that new businesses fail - people make a decision, buy a product or course and then... do nothing.

A month later they are making nothing online, are down the investment they made, and fed up with the whole thing.

Nothing will happen if you don't make it happen, so make a plan and take some action every day to keep your business going.

2. Ignore the Haters.

When you tell people what you're doing, you may get some adverse reaction, which is odd, as usually starting a business is regarded as a positive event.

But some people, for whatever reason, will question your decision. You might hear things like:

"No-one makes money on the internet!"

"It's all a scam"

"What do you know about running a business?"

And so on.

This sort of "help" can even come from your closest family members.

Surround yourself with positive, informed people who will listen, support and understand you. There are a ton of groups you can join for free on social media that will be able to help you in your journey.

3. Never Stop Learning

Commit to being a lifelong learner. Read up on the subject, look for hints, guides, books, anything you can find. and continue to educate yourself on the newest developments, ideas and so on. The World is a pretty fast moving place, and there is so much happening to keep up to date with, so commit to this now.

4. Don't Let The Tech Freak You Out!

The number one reason people are put off starting an online business... they don't understand websites, sales funnels, autoresponders and all that goes with that.

Starting online as an affiliate doesn't necessarily mean you need your own website (at least not to begin with) as you're selling someone else's products and services for a commission and using their sites, sales funnels, sales letters etc. All you are doing is sending traffic to their offer.

Also there are a huge number of online resources available to help you learn. For example, YouTube is packed with tutorials on virtually everything you'll ever need.

If you have a bit of money to invest first up, you can even consider employing a freelancer to help you, either on a one off basis for projects, or on an ongoing basis.

5. Learn How To Make Time.

Another stumbling block can be the perceived lack of time. If you ask people who are short of cash why they don't start a business, they'll often tell you they're too busy.

We all have the same 24 hours in a day though...

Successful people in any walk of life are just really good at making time. Yes, you might have to get up early, stay up late and miss another episode of your favourite TV show, but won't it be worth it when your part time business is earning a full time income?

Go forth and earn those commissions - let's do it!

The Importance of Website Development Companies in Today's World

By Tapu Goswami  |   Submitted On August 26, 2016

With the growth of complexities in the modern world the need and priorities of humans have also changed. They have shifted their focus from goods for necessities to items of luxuries. The impact of globalization has caused to the establishment of many small and big industries to come up with their latest technologies for which it is important to have some knowledge about online services on the internet. It is due to these factors that the process of website development has gained popularity. Websites are designed and developed for the web and internet applications, web servers and social networking services. Web development companies are doing a good business by setting up their sites where they are providing all information related to their products and services thus allowing people to purchase them online.

Today website visitors are very sophisticated and always search for sites that are easily navigable. They have little or no tolerance level and therefore are not willing to go for sites that do not easily provide them with the services they want. Therefore, creating a good website for business is not an easy task. Today business houses keep populating the internet world, therefore a good web developer should always aim at attracting and keeping the user's attention.

The features of good website development companies are:

Appearance, that is the site must be visually appealing, professional and well polished.

Functionality, that is every component of the site must work quickly and correctly.

Usability, that is, it should be easy to read, navigate and understood.

Search engine optimization that is the inclusion of plenty of content in HTML format, JavaScript or image oriented objects for easier navigation.

The purpose of web companies is to design and create websites in the most cost efficient ways to attract customers through the various web design and development strategies like custom and blog design, graphic designs such as logos and banners, hosting and email services, social media integration with the use media tools and content management because without the input of proper content website development is incomplete. In this way they are serving a gateway to the shipping of online services across the world.

They are also providing services like eCommerce or electronic commerce where people are placing orders and buying products and services online without going to the geographic location and thus saving energy and time. Also, they are getting the products at much lower value than the original market price. The website development companies hire a group of trained website developers who try to make the e-commerce sites more attracting by the use of catchy tag lines and provide facilities for making online payments, giving a lasting impression on the customers and thus allow them to visit the site again and again.

Some of the talented website designers aim at to establishing their own business, but many times they realize that they are not well prepared to successfully take their business to heights and thus ensure a healthy growth. Some of the challenges faced by the website development companies are:

Firstly is ending the endless new business cycle. They spend a lot of time for finding out new customers, winning the business and delivery of final projects. This leads to little space for steady, predictable income as the whole focus of the web developers shift to ramping up the projects before moving to new business cycle.

Secondly ensuring ongoing supports and maintaining contracts. They face the threat of establishing ongoing fixed fee supports, pricing for much less work than they are actually expected to perform.

Thirdly increasing time spent fixing problems. Clients often encounter issues of the websites with the web developers to correct them, but when the developers check their sites it looks fine from their point. Time spent in detecting a problem means a delay in dealing with the problem itself.

For some of us, websites are some beautifully designed colorful pages with images, videos and a little bit of information, so in spite of the drawbacks faced the website development companies, they have bright future prospects as several changes in the web design techniques has led to the standardization of web giving the web development a broader meaning as a whole.

I have published some articles and blogs. At present I am working as a SEO Executive in a leading web development company.

By Charles Okwechime  |   Submitted On August 19, 2016

Try video marketing to boost your business profit.

Nothing grabs people's attention quite like a video. It is one of the most dominating forms of media today-and the number of people looking for something to watch grows every day. With 87% of online marketers using video content, it's time that you make sure your business is not left behind. Here are a few benefits of video marketing online.

Your Audience Is Vast

It is a marketer's job to reach as many people as he or she can. With more than 800 million unique users visiting YouTube every month, you are almost guaranteed to find your target audience in this sea of online viewers. This presents you with plenty of customers who are just waiting to buy your products.

Video Marketing Increases Interest

When people are presented with something they are genuinely interested in, they act. Video marketing has proven effective in sparking the interest of consumers. Of shoppers, 34% are more likely to buy a product or service after viewing an online video ad, indicating that video is successful in helping boost profits.

Why is video marketing so hot?

Today people are hungry for information and they want it at their finger tips. So they'd prefer to spend 2-3 minutes watching a video than spending 15-20 minutes reading some text. Moreover, videos also help businesses in communicating their important points to their target audience in a very little time.

Another plus point with videos is that you can not only place them on your website but anywhere on the Internet to get maximum online exposure! Many websites such as Vimeo and YouTube get millions of hits a day. Best of all, your video can also be optimized to rank on the top of search engine result pages, giving your company an instant exposure to millions of potential buyers.

Just imagine somebody from your local area searching your type of service and product on Google and... then suddenly your video pops up! They'll immediately click on it for more info.

Connecting With Consumers on an Emotional Level

Commercial advertisements have always been able to grab people's attention. The reason is that videos appeal to the key senses of sight and sound, striking an emotion cord in consumers' hearts. When you are able to visually tell a compelling story, this builds a connection between your product or service and the target audience.

Ten Important Things To Keep In Mind Before Starting An Online Business

By Leonard Henry  |   Submitted On August 19, 2016

These ten factors may not necessarily appear in the same order as listed below but certainly, they are vital for the issue at hand.

HERE ARE THE TEN QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF:

1. What type of online business do I want to engage in?
2. What do I have on offer that will be better than my Competitors in my niche?
3. Do I need to prepare a business plan for my business?
4. How much will it cost to set up my business?
5. Is my business online based or BOTH online and offline?
6. Do I need a dedicated website for my business and how much will it cost?
7. How will I market my business whether online or offline?
8. What is the right strategy to use to market my business?
9. Am I getting value for money in advertising my business?
10. Am I reaching the right audience with my advertising?

Having a positive answer for all these questions can only lead you to the next stage of your pursuit of running an online business.

Engage yourself in research into the business you want to get involve in and have a go at it. Take for instance, the Mobile Phone Industry. Statistics have shown the total number of mobile phone users worldwide from 2013 to 2019. For 2017 the number of mobile phone users is forecast to reach 4.77 billion. Customers and potential customers use their mobile phones to browse the internet for Products and Services more than a Laptop or Desktop computer, so it make sense for business owners to utilize this piece of technology for marketing their products and services. This could suggest that there is an opportunity to tap into the mobile app industry to meet the needs of these businesses requiring mobile apps.

Millions of apps for almost anything you can think of, are now in circulation whether for free download or at a cost. You might ask, why don't I have a slice of the pie and start a mobile app business? The excitement kicks in, but one has to have some kind of knowledge about the whole App design process. This will probably force you to dig deeper into your research on the whole aspect of mobile app development. With this being established, my first question is answered; through study and research, you have made an informed decision to get involved in Mobile App Design and Development. But, what will you be offering that will be better than your Competitors? This is not a simple question to answer, but to say the least, strive to offer quality products and services to customers, and simply make your Products and Services more affordable while maintaining quality.

Starting a business without some kind of a business plan is like driving onto a very long motorway with 1/4 tank of fuel, with the hope that it will take you to the next service exit. The business plan will give you a breakdown of what you need for the business even though success is not guaranteed, as there are a number of opposing factors along the way.

There are a lot of businesses with little or no startup cost as opposed to other businesses with huge startup cost. It also depends on whether your business will both be online and offline. You have to decide if the business you want to indulge in, has minimal startup cost.

To setup an online business, does not have to cost an arm and a leg, if you take the time to do extensive research into the business you want to get into.

If your business is online based, advertising it to the right audience can be a huge task. Finding the right sources to advertise your business, can be quite challenging and risky as this is where you can spend huge sums of money to advertise, but yet get little return on investment if the advertising strategy is wrong.

Advertising a business to a targeted audience involves a number of factors like;

1. Google Indexing
2. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
3. Domain Authority (DA)
4. Page Ranking (PR)
5. Back links
6. Social Media
7. Joining Forums
8. Blogging
9. Google AdWords
10. Google Analytics
11. Keywords Research

To do all of these stuff can be demanding and boring, but if you need success in any business, you just have to get on with the task at hand.

Handing over this challenging task to an SEO Expert can be quite expensive. If you put the time and effort in and do your research and utilize the available SEO tools on the Market, believe me, you can bring your online business to life without 'breaking the bank'.

To conclude, I would say to minimise business startup costs, try to do as much as you can yourself. When you have exhausted all avenues, seek help.

I did not need any website design experience to build the Apptitecture's website. Therefore, not having to ask a web designer to build a website, has saved me some money which I was able to channel elsewhere in the business. Starting an online business can be quite daunting but with hard work and determination, you can have a successful business in the end.

I'm Leonard Henry, the Founder and C.E.O. of Apptitecture Mobile App Design Solutions. Visit us at https://www.myapptitecture.com for more information on how to start your own business.

Facebook Ads and Google AdWords - What's The Difference?

By Sam Mori  |   Submitted On July 13, 2016

As a small business owner with a limited marketing budget, how can you get the best results for your online ad campaign?

Google and Facebook are the largest advertising platforms on the Internet, both allowing you to target customers and spread your brand message.

The most important difference between using Facebook ads & Google Ads is the way your audience will encounter your ad. While Facebook chooses ads to display based on a user's stated interests and demographics, a Google ad is targeted based on the user's search terms. The difference is similar to browsing (Facebook) vs. going straight to what you know you want (Google). Both approaches can be useful for reaching potential customers. Facebook is an effective tool for generating brand awareness, while Google works best as for pull marketing.

This article looks at the similarities and differences between the two and when you might choose one approach over the other.

Google AdWords

AdWords lets you bid on a certain keyword or phrase to have your ad show up when a user searches on that term. The key to making the most of this approach is to carefully research keywords and know what language your customers are using. Your main goal when using Google pay per click (PPC) ads is to make sure that your advertising copy and landing page match up well with a user's search term.

If the user is looking for a certain product or type of item, you'll get a higher click through rate (CTR) when your content matches their needs.

Facebook advertising platform

Facebook offers a broader marketing approach, where you are able to market to people who fit certain demographics or psychographics but who aren't necessarily searching for your product. This lets you educate potential consumers about the value you provide. Facebook restructured it's advertising platform earlier this year to make its target marketing approach more powerful. You can target customers by location, demographics, or connections.

The connections option lets you reach friends of those who like your page, for instance. You can also target people based on stated interests and the Facebook groups they've joined, as well as based on their past shopping behaviour. If you are trying to build brand awareness a loose targeting approach is a good strategy. This lets you cast the net wide and reach a large group of potential customers. The opposite tactic is to tightly target your ads and run multiple short campaigns to see what combination of factors gives the best ROI.

Relative costs

Even though the approaches of the two platforms are complementary rather than identical, it's fair to consider the cost per click (CPC) amount for each approach. Facebook advertising tends to be cheaper than an AdWords campaign, with a CPC charge of $0.25 on the low end. In contrast, if you want to rank highly for very competitive search terms on Google, the cost can be $100 per click or higher. Obviously that isn't always the case, but in general a Facebook campaign will cost less. But cheaper isn't always better, so it is more important to compare the results. For this, the number we want to look at is cost per acquisition (CPA), not CPC. For example, lets assume that the CPC for a Facebook campaign is $1.00, while an AdWords campaign is five times more expensive with a CPC of $5.00. But because the Google campaign is very effectively matched with the right search terms, it has a 10 per cent conversion rate compared to Facebook's 1 per cent. For this example, we'd say that the CPA for the Facebook ad is $100 while the Google ad has an acquisition cost of only $50.

The key to making the most of your marketing budget on these platforms is to carefully measure ad performance. Fortunately, Facebook ads & Google ads both offer powerful analytics to track traffic and conversion rates.

Choosing a platform

While Google ads often have a somewhat lower cost per acquisition because it is so focused on customer search terms, this approach has its limitations. Facebook ads allow you to reach a wider audience, including people who may not have realised they wanted or needed your product. Both types of advertising can pay off if you have the right data to run an effective campaign. For Google ads you'll need the keywords that your customers are searching on and for Facebook ads you'll need to experiment with targeting different markets. Your best bet may be to try a mix of both advertising channels and track the number and types of leads you get from each service.

Should you bring in a pro? One way to get the most out of your marketing budget is to work with an online advertising agency, also known as a social media agency, mobile marketing agency, or digital marketing agency.

A social media agency offers many benefits, including marketing expertise, and outsider's view, and knowledge of the latest tools and trends. The largest benefit is that you'll instantly acquire expertise and access to professional tools. Online marketing is always changing, and it takes time and effort to keep up with trends and make the best decisions. You'll also get access to the best analytics tools so you can track customer response metrics easily and effectively. Some of these tools can costs hundreds of dollars per month to license, but with a digital marketing agency you'll have access to all the data you need to make the most of your budget. Whether you work with a team or handle everything yourself, the best bet for online marketing success is to spread your marketing budget across both platforms. The percentage you spend on each depends on your current goals. Are you aiming for broader brand awareness (Facebook) or hoping for a more immediate ROI (Google).

Companies are reporting good results for both types of advertising so experiment a bit and find out what works for your business.

How Be A Good Photo Editor Without Photoshop?

By Irene Rufferty  |   Submitted On August 12, 2016

Everyone wants to be good in what he or she does. To become the best is impossible without particular knowledge, certain skills and much practice. What if you want to be the best photo editor without Photoshop knowledge?

Photoshop is undoubtedly an extremely professional and complex tool to study. But nowadays a lot of other tools available online completely free can allow you to be an excellent photo editor even without it. Wanna know how? Here we go.

A Routine of a Photo Editor

If you are a person who is a specialist in charge of illustrations in some periodical or at website, you often need to urgently handle the pictures, and to install Photoshop I may be neither possible nor desirable at the eleventh hour, even if you are well familiar with the tool and have excellent skills using it.

Newspapers, magazines and websites always need photo illustrations, just like they need photographers or designers, and copywriters. However, an editor not only is looking for photos, collects them, edits and proofs, but it's a person who is involved in the process of an article creation, builds a number of illustrative ways to explain the idea of the text and gives it an additional meaning, emotional content and so on. An experienced photo editor has a well established communication and management of photographers environment, works with them, formulates the tasks for them.

Well, if you call yourself an expert, you probably know that a photography and a photo editing are the two essential components of photojournalism. The higher the level of each of them, the better the result is. And a good photo editor contributes to the photographer much.

Editor evaluates the quality of the images, is involved in the post production of the product, in other words, co-sponsors and manages editing and photography.

Unfortunately, in modern practice, photo editors may sometimes be refereed to ordinary photographers, moderators or illustrators. Although the level of a professional photo editor presupposes much more. He or she must have not only the taste and erudition, but also know a lot about the art of photography, enjoy imaginative thinking, understand the laws of fine arts and design and be able to use modern tools like Photoshop, etc. Sometimes even graphic designers, designers with a good education in the humanities that work as editors but do not use Adobe Photoshop are prejudiced. There are at least a few ways out of this situation to prove they can be the best even without much Photoshop obsession.

9 Free Editors to Process Photos Without Photoshop

In fact, many of us are faced with the need to process variety of images in variety of life situations. As a rule, Photoshop program is needed for the most basic image editing options which is not quite cheap and not cheap. That is why there are programs that allow professional photo editing without spending time and money on Photoshop. If you occasionally need to crop the photo, or make a collage, there are many free alternatives (software and online services), that will do even if you are a professional. In order to make your life easier, we will talk about 9 most popular free editors for processing photos and being a good editor without Photoshop.

1. PhotoFiltre

This is an excellent and pretty universal editor for the Windows operating system. If you've ever used Photoshop, you will notice the similarity of its user interface and PhotoFiltre. This editing software is suitable for both the beginners and advanced users. Despite some "cut-down" set of features, PhotoFiltre can replace Photoshop easily. Of course, this excludes the editor user control for some tools, but leaves enough room for playing with color, saturation and other effects. If the number of possible filters will seem clearly insufficient, there is an opportunity to expand them by connecting additional plug-ins (you can find them on the website of the developer on demand).

Advantages: levels, a lot of color correction and light / shadow options.
Disadvantages: layers, appropriate tools settings.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets a 10, PhotoFiltre then gets 6.

2. Photoscape

This one is a free photo editor, performing standard features to view and edit images. Most likely, this program will be much sought after by the female audience, thanks to all kinds of filters, frames, etc. You can create interesting collages and postcards. In Photoscape, you will find one of the simplest interfaces you've ever seen. Therefore, even a 6-year old child can deal with it easily.

Advantages: it takes up little space on your hard drive, batch photo processing, simplicity.
Disadvantages: suitable for basic, non-professional operations mostly.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets 10, then Photoscape receives 5.

3. Paint.NET

It is impossible to ignore such amazing graphics editor as Paint.NET. After analyzing the huge amount of readers' comments on various forums and sites dedicated to photo editing, it's possible to come to the conclusion that the Paint.NET is a real find. Despite the fact that a step-by-step installation of Paint.NET is a real bore, this editor still can compete with Photoshop at the proper level. By installing this program, you can adjust and create gradient layers, use a large assortment of effects and filters. Even a novice user will cope with the instrument panels and palettes which are very similar.

Advantages: layers, full-featured toolbar levels.
Disadvantages: sophisticated color correction, and certain tools.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets 10, the Paint. NET receives a solid 8!

4. GIMP

Many people like this photo editor very much. Today, GIMP is available for most operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, etc.). Since its start (launched in 1995) GIMP has taken its place among the competitors, and even surpassed Photoshop in some ways according to the numerous users. The interface is clear and simple. This is an editor that allows you to easily cope with such tasks as: program formation, the development of animations, image processing, preparation of graphics for WEB-pages, registration of printing products and many other things. Not bad, huh? GIMP is almost nothing to criticize, because there is simply no better free Photoshop alternative at the moment than this one.

Advantages: the"lighting" effect, a complete set of brushes.
Disadvantages: Adjustment layer, some preview moments.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets 10, GIMP receives 11! Since it provides the users with 90% of Photoshop features completely free. Fair enough.

5. Aviary

Meet the brand new editor online. Aviary is an editing software for devices based on Android, which offers basic options and the ability to import photos from photo sharing site such as Flickr, Picasa, and a variety of social media sites, such as Facebook. Editor offers four applications with fun 'bird' names. Before downloading one of them, you need to decide: what with and how you want to work. If you need to prepare a photo for a social network, choose a simplified version of Photoshop - 'Phoenix', thanks to which you will be able to use a tone correction, insert text, overlay different layers, etc. The remaining 3 applications are suitable for those whose interests are not limited to basic ways of photo processing. Vector Editor 'Raven' will help in the creation of drawings, lines and diagrams. 'Peacock' is characterized by its developers as a "visual laboratory" and looks pretty interesting. But you run the risk to get lost in a variety of settings and elements. Finally, 'Toucan' is useful for the graphic design. With this editor you can find the right color palette for the site, and even evaluate the accessibility of the site (!) especially for people with different forms of colorblindness. Choose and test what you like!

Advantages: toolbar, filters, keyboard shortcuts.
Disadvantages: it depends on the type of application.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets 10, the AVIARY Phoenix - 9, AVIARY Peacock - from 2 to 8 (depending on how much time you can spend studying the editor), AVIARY Raven - 5 and AVIARY Toucan - 6.

6. Splashup

This is another member of the online editors family. Generally, Splashup interface is similar to the Photoshop interface. However, it should be noted that the service functionality is considerably inferior to Photoshop. But if you want to quickly process images without clever effects, Splashup will do. This editor can be called 'Photoshop: Light version.' Very light version.

Advantages: not overloaded with unnecessary menus, work with layers, cross-platform.
Disadvantages: the levels, vibrations.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets 10, then Splashup gets 7.

7. Cinepaint

This is a GIMP close relative, primarily focused on the image editing for films and animation. And it is worth noting that in this area Cinepaint is excellent. Besides, Cinepaint is a powerful image editor. In general, there is much to work with.

Advantages: much-improved interface (as compared with GIMP), a lot of different interesting effects.
Disadvantages: a small number of filters.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets 10, then Cinepaint gets 7.

8. flauntR

This is perhaps one of the weakest competitors of Photoshop. Despite the quite considerable number of functions, this editor has still not enough instruments for a more "serious" image processing. But if you're just starting to learn the basics of editing, try flauntR. You can create a themed compositions, emulate surfaces and materials and understand the other decorative effects.

Advantages: ease of use.
Disadvantages: the toolbar filters.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets 10, then flauntR gets only 4.

9. FotoFlexer

This fast online service for image processing causes only positive emotions. The plain editor is perfect for basic operations, such as creating collages, simple image editing, etc. Of course, it cannot be compared to Photoshop, but it's simply due to the fact that its developers never pursued such idea, indeed.

Advantages: 'magic stick', Liquify, and other easy-to-use filters.
Disadvantages: settings, "brush" equivalent.
Comparative characteristic: if Photoshop gets 10, then FotoFlexer receives 5.

Of course, there are many other software solutions you can come across on the web, designed especially for photo editing, and which can help you in your every day photo editor's routine for both individual and professional use and still make a good editor of you.

Do not forget to consider and use Picnic, Pixen, Pixia, ChocoFlop, Krita, iPiccy and others. It's hard to say if they are worthy of professional editors attention, but a detailed description, and use would improve your skills and enrich your knowledge anyway. You might get bored as there's nothing special, except their capabilities similar to FotoFlexer, Splashup etc., but still they are not Photoshop to learn and use. So, go ahead! Now that you know even more Photoshop alternatives, it will be easier to be a good photo editor and cope with your daily editing routine!

How Do You Produce Original Articles?

By Sohaib Azam, Esq  |   Submitted On July 22, 2016

By now, you understand the importance of originality in article writing. As a student, you've probably been informed of the consequences of plagiarism and how it is wrong to copy off of others without giving credit to the original author. But original article writing is different where you should refrain from using material already present in another article. This is so that your viewpoints can come across as authentic and so that you can establish credibility as an author. But how can you develop original viewpoints and information?

#1: Look For Inspirations, Both From Your Personal Life And Professional Life

Often the best viewpoints are those that are inspired by your own life experiences, whether they be personal or professional. To give a good example, I wrote an article about how heart and soul are important in a business's success. My inspiration for that article came from helping my sister put together candy lei's for my nephew's birthday party. As I was putting the lei's together, I felt a fullness inside my soul. That became my inspiration for writing about why success is more than just about sales and production.

Inspirations come from many places. You might look at a current article and want to expand on a certain point that someone touched on earlier. Something may happen to you that gives you something to write about. Sometimes, it may just come to you in the middle of the night. What is important is that you find that inspiration because it will help you produce original articles.

#2: Even If You Use An Already Taken Viewpoint, Your Explanation Of It Can Be Original

Often times, it's not the viewpoints, but the explanation itself that may be of intrigue to the reader. For example, if you are writing about different aspects of search engine optimization, and you are writing about not buying backlinks, you could do more than offer a simple explanation of why this practice doesn't work. You could tell a story about someone you know who was caught doing this or take some time and talk about what has happened to those who were caught. Even if it well accepted among the SEO community that purchasing backlinks is bad practice, readers would be intrigued to hear your story since it is your personal story about someone who did this practice and/or was caught for it.

Buying Psychology: Understanding Why People Buy eBooks

By Andre Wolfgang Klein  |   Submitted On January 07, 2016

Selling an eBook can potentially be a highly lucrative way to make money. In fact, there are many examples of people making thousands of dollars by selling digital products and even millions. In some cases an eBook can sell for over a hundred dollars and the cost for online seminars can soar into the thousands.

But when you really think about it, this makes very little sense.

Why would someone be willing to spend $30 or $100 on an eBook when that same information is most likely available online?

And why do people willingly pay for apps when they can relatively easily download them illegally?

Convenience and Delivery

One of the key benefits of buying a digital product through the legitimate channels is that it's convenient. There's no hunting around for anything and it's far easier to learn to do something by reading one book as compared with reading up on lots of different websites.

Another key thing to consider is the delivery and the packaging. People are very rarely motivated by logic when it comes to buying and more often this will come down to an impulse decision based on emotion.

That's why packaging your eBook nicely can make all the difference. That means paying a designer to create a striking cover and it means using beautiful images inside and excellent formatting. All this will make people really want your product and increases the desire greatly.

Trust and Authority

Another reason that people buy eBooks and apps is because of the relationship that they have with the creator.

We pay for apps because we want to support the developer. And that's why we're much more likely to download something illegally if we feel that the software is overpriced or if it comes from a large development studio rather than an individual or a small team.

As for eBooks, people are willing to pay for those rather than seek out the information themselves because they trust the author. In other words, they believe that the author knows what they're talking about and can genuinely help to make their lives better. Compared with following the advice of a complete stranger on the web who they've never contacted before, this makes a lot more sense.

With all that in mind then, the best way to ensure your product sells is to:

· Create something that looks beautiful

· Price it right

· Demonstrate your expertise and knowledge in a free-to-access blog

· Make the whole process as convenient and easy for the buyer as possible

Engage Your Readers And Encourage Interaction

By Gary L Gross  |   Submitted On August 23, 2016

Blogging can feel like a very one-sided conversation sometimes. You're sitting there, typing away, and sharing content with your readers. But you don't hear anything back. They read and respond with silence. The good news is that it doesn't have to be that way.

Blogs were designed to facilitate engagement and communications. There's a reason you can leave comments and all it takes is a little encouragement to get your own readers to do that on your blog. Combine that with a little social media interaction and there's no reason you can't turn this into a fully engaged conversation that will help you grow a loyal base of fans.

Because let's face it, while it's nice for our ego to get lots of comments and interactions, when you're blogging for a living what really counts is making enough money to pay your bills at the end of the month. And for that to happen you need a loyal audience that not only knows, likes, and trusts you but is also comfortable spending money with you or your sponsors. And for that to happen you need an engaged audience.

Interaction helps too because with each email your readers send you, with each comment they post, and each social media post they write you learn a little more about your target audience and how you can best serve them. And that right there is the key to becoming a profitable blogger. Know your market, serve your market, and present them with offers to help them reach their goals or fill their need.

We know it's important, but how do we get the ball rolling and encourage our audience, our readers to interact with us bloggers? We do it by asking them questions, by asking them for feedback and by encouraging them to share their options - right from our blog posts. Let me give you an example. Let's say you're writing a post about getting your baby to sleep through the night. Within the post, ask your readers how old their kids are, or what their own experiences are with their infants. Ask them to share if they are struggling with getting enough sleep right now because baby wakes them up every few hours. Encourage them to share their stories and tell them exactly where and how to do it - by leaving a comment below.

Now the next step is crucial. As soon as you see that first comment or two pop up, reply to them and keep the conversation going. This will do two things for you. Not only will you have a great conversation with the reader that commented (and a chance to form a deeper relationship), seeing you reply also shows other readers that you care and really want to hear from them. And that's what's going to encourage more and more of your loyal readers to comment.

The same goes for social media engagement. When you post a link to your latest blog post, ask your friends and followers to like, share, and comment. Then let them know how much you appreciate it when they do. Of course you can get the conversation going there too by asking a question related to your blog post on Facebook for example. It's a great way to share another link to your blog post and get the conversation going at the same time.

Give these tips a try and see if you can't get your readers to engage and interact with you. It's well worth the effort.

Audio-Streaming - What Is It's Future?

By R. Grieco  |   Submitted On September 02, 2010

ome of the top reasons that satellite radio is so trendy right now are that there are no commercials and in many new cars it is already installed so there is no need to install the receiver yourself. However, many people cannot justify the cost of satellite radio and audio streaming when there is free radio still available from the stereo in their car. They will listen to the commercials or have learned to tune them out over the years in order to save money.

Audio-streaming is most popular over the internet for things such as radio, music, television and sports among other programming choices. It is popular in urban areas because Wi-Fi is widely available and the younger generations who are more knowledgeable about internet use it. Some critics speculate about when audio-streaming will be available through an in car device just like satellite radio now. Of course the invention of something like this would phase out satellite radio at some point.

There is really an unlimited amount of content that can be streamed from the Internet, much more than from satellite or HD radio. Even though they are in the beginning stages there are players for streaming Internet radio that are portable and can be used in the car and some even for the home. People use Internet audio streams to listen to programming that they may not be able to find on their local TV or radio stations.

Internet audio-streaming can benefit free radio stations that exist now because people can still listen to their favorite local stations even if they move away to a new location where that certain stations signal does not reach. As well as benefitting the radio stations it will benefit the Internet audio streaming providers as well. Most providers of audio-streaming have listeners worldwide because their service is available for free, but is comparable to conventional free radio.

Internet streaming audio may be the next generation of the delivery of audio. It will of course still most likely need to have advertising to remain free to listeners, but with the wide variety of programming available it could outgrow the popularity of satellite radio.

5 Steps To A Niche Website

By Mary Kaminsky  |   Submitted On August 01, 2016

Did you know that entrepreneurs all over the web are making money with their content sites and blogs? Affiliate websites are a popular way to monetize your site. Affiliate websites promote products and services from other online merchants. When the site owner gets accepted by the merchant as an affiliate, a unique code is linked to the products they promote on their site. When a visitor to their site clicks on a product link back to the merchant's site and completes a purchase, the website owner gets paid a commission on the sale.

So, in this article, I have outlined 5 steps building a Niche Website.

Step#1 Find A Niche
What is a niche or niche market? A market is a group of people who share a common interest in a subject. A niche is a subset of a market that is related to a topic.

Example: First-time homeowners is a market of people interested in buying their first home. This group would be interested in several topics such as; Home Buyer Loans, Real Estate Agents, Unexpected Home Costs, Mortgage Calculators and Moving Companies. Individual areas of interest for a market is a niche.

Choosing the right niche can be a little challenging, you want to pick a topic that interest you, but will also be profitable. Look for and target an underserved market, but make sure there is a large enough audience to sustain your site. A Targeted niche also makes it easier to optimize your site for search engines. And that might give you a better chance of gaining more traffic to your site.

Step#2 Build a Website
Website Builders have made it easier than ever before to have a website. You don't have to know HTML to have a great content site. Website builders have simplified the process by creating easy to use, drag and drop website templates with several different customizable themes. Some Website Builders give you a free website as well as a domain name and host services for a year. All Website Builders have different terms and services, so make sure you understand what services are free and what you have to pay for before signing up.

Step#3 Content
Now that you have a niche and a website, it's time to start creating content. If you don't have a knack for writing, this part of the process can be a little intimidating at first. You sit there staring at a blank screen knowing that you need to fill it with your thoughts and ideas. Relax, and take your time creating content since the content is crucial to the viability of your site. Reader engagement relies heavily on your content. The information you provide should be original and relevant to your readers. If you provide up-date-information and compelling images, you will be one step closer to having a successful Affiliate Website.

Step#4 Affiliate Programs
There are thousands of products and services you can promote on your Affiliate Website. Most entrepreneurs start with Amazon and ClickBank since their names are familiar. You can also use Google to search for affiliate partners. If your niche is maternity dresses, go to Google search, and type in maternity dress affiliate programs then click through the results. Always use due diligence when using this approach to find affiliate partners, since you may not be familiar with some of the companies that turn up in your search.

Step#5 Attracting Visitors
In addition to SEO and targeted keywords, find additional ways to bring traffic to your site. YouTube, social media, blogs, e-mail lists, and forums are all effective ways to drive traffic to your website. The goal of an Affiliate Website should be to create a site that in some way helps a community of people. Only then will you be able to convert your readers into affiliate sales. So, in order to do this, you need a steady stream of traffic to your site, therefore, finding ways to promote your site and add value to your readers, should be at the top of your list.

Even though your passive income will not be a lot in the beginning, with hard work and dedication, your commissions will add up. If you create your website with purpose, others will see the value in it!

Do You Really Need A Custom WordPress Design?

By Shivanand Sharma  |   Submitted On August 17, 2016

One of my friends is running a café. We were casually talking about the web presence and the need of the website. And he got all excited and started telling me that these days he is learning WordPress. So... a friend of a WordPress Genesis Developer is telling him that he is learning WordPress.

... and that he would like to save every penny by building the website all by himself.

This is what WordPress has infused in the minds of regular users. Anyone can build and manage a website, you don't need to hire a pro for that!

Free themes, premium themes, free plugins, paid plugins... you get everything needed to build a website. Why pay a WordPress Genesis developer for a custom WordPress design?

Anyone and just about anyone can do it all by himself.

But the questions is, is it worth putting your efforts in learning WordPress and building the website yourself?

Yes, if it is a personal blog or a simple website.
NO, if it is a business website.
NO, if that website means business to you.
NO, if you want to establish a brand identity.
NO, if you don't want to compromise with features and functionality of the site.

Your business website needs special care, which only a seasoned WordPress developer can understand. And that gap can only be filled by custom WordPress design.

A business website needs the following:

1. Brand Identity: Each business has a distinct identity and the same needs to be communicated to the online audience. Logo, color scheme, typography and the look & feel of the site together offer a unique personality to the website; which needs to be aligned with business identity. No free or premium theme can offer this kind of flexibility. You need to opt for custom WordPress design for such a use case.

2. High Conversion Landing Pages: Every business need to have landing pages. Landing pages are a way to communicate and highlight the USPs of company, services and the products they offer. A lot of expertise and UX studies goes into making landing pages that convert. Tracking, A/B testing, conversion rate optimization. You need to put in a lot of effort to start selling online. Even a freelancer at UpWork or other freelance sites is not a right choice for this. Only a seasoned developer who builds custom website solutions and has experience with UX design can do justice to landing pages.

3. Professional Online Presence: A website is not just pages and information. It is the presentation of the information in the most appropriate manner. It is a science and art of building web presence that is functional, beautiful and fulfils the goal and purpose of the website. You need a developer who has a grasp of design concepts and user behavior to accomplish the task.

4. Security & Performance: The website is not just looks. It needs to perform well in terms of page loading speed. It should be cross browser compatible. It should follow best coding practices and be built on neat and clean code. It should be optimized for speed and fine-tuned for loading in 2 seconds. And it needs to be secure against possible malware attacks. A professional developer offering custom WordPress design will never compromise on these check-points.

5. Top Notch SEO: To get the organic traffic, your website needs to be optimized for search engines. Keyword research, keyword mapping, content strategy, SILO architecture, semantics, microdata, all go into making a website search friendly. Can you expect a regular WordPress user to know and understand each of these concepts?

And only an experienced WordPress Genesis developer stands up to the test of delivering the results - delivering the websites that PERFORM & CONVERT.

Wrap Up:

Be it any kind of business, you do need a custom WordPress design; to make sure that your WordPress website works for your business. Hire an expert for the job - Genesis Developer and a WordPress Consultant

Ways Of Monetizing Traffic On Your Website

By Jovia D'Souza  |   Submitted On August 18, 2016

Fact is a website or a blog that has no traffic is as good as not being in existence. Visits to a site is what makes or breaks it and as an owner, you definitely should look for ways of getting more traffic for there to be any positive change or results in what your website goals and intentions. Having traffic on your site is one thing and it is quite another to make money using the traffic that you get. With so many services and technologies now available, you can easily execute strategies so you are able to make money from the traffic. Below are some of the best ways of monetizing traffic.

1. Quantify the traffic

The amount of traffic you get and the demographics can determine the monetization methods that are most suitable for your site. You can quantify the traffic to your site using Google analytics and other tools that can help you get the information that you need to make the right choices. Statistics like number of visits, page views and even time spend on specific pages as well as keywords used by the visitors are all helpful in deciding what content is best and the best of optimizing that content so that it is accessible as easily as possible to search engines.

2. PPC programs and Google AdSense

These are some of the most popular and effective ways of monetizing traffic on your site. Pay-per-click advertising programs such as Google AdSense pay you variable amounts for every click on an advert featuring on your website. The ads are usually generated automatically depending on the content you have on your page. The PPC ad network can go a long way in making you some money as you enjoy the valuable visits to your site.

3. Selling Ad space

The truth is that there will always be sites that are more popular than yours. To monetize traffic, you can use those that have desirable demographics to make you some money. The ads can be sold on CPM basis, but there is always the option of CPA and PPC ad network or a blend of these methods. You should choose what you feel works best for you.

4. Strong content writing

The content you have on your pages highly determines how long visitors last on them and how valuable they find the site to be. The best way to have the web content work to your advantage is to use catchy headlines and content that is interesting. This way you will be able to increase the chances of inbound links as well as reader sharing that will definitely improve your returns especially as a business.

5. SEO

Building a website should always be structured in such a way that it remains visible in search engine results regardless of how stiff the competition might be. One of the best approaches you can give SEO is proper use of HTML and researching and identifying keywords that are relevant, high traffic and with very little competition.

If you wish to monetize traffic or advertise your business, TribalAdNetwork is one of the best you can choose. It is an exchange platform that has thousands of direct publisher and hundreds of active campaigns.

5 Crazy Ways Social Media Is Changing Your Brain Right Now

Tools You Need to be a Bad Ass Web Developer

Gepubliceerd op 20 jan. 2015 The only thing you really need to dominate on the internet is a computer that’s hooked up to the internet, plus willpower to not look at porn, youtube and reddit all day (beat) and actually learn to code. Your operating system doesn’t matter, unless you want to build an iphone app, then you need Mac OSX. You can develop for Android on OSX, windows or Linux, one of the many reasons it’s kicking the iphones ass. Apple fanboys, post bitchy comments below. Moral of the story, who gives a shit if you're a mac, PC, or really sexy and use Linux, just start building something. But, let’s go over a few things. Number one, all browsers are not created equal. If you are watching this lesson on Internet Explorer, stop everything and download firefox or chrome. Remember, friends don’t let friends use Internet Explorer. Chrome is fast, and has great developer tools plus lots of awesome add ons to help you out. Firefox is great for the same reasons. Open chrome and inspect a page, with developer tools the front end code that is creating the page is visible. We see the HTML and the CSS making it sexy, like all this (gesture). We can even change things in real time. It’s like x-ray vision for the web. Bet you wish it worked on me too? You can even copy and paste code, like Picasso and Steve Jobs said, good artists copy, great artists steal. Just don’t be a dick about it. Think more like reading other peoples code is a great way to learn. Next, you can’t write code with Word processors. You need a text editor. For PC, Sublime or notepad++, if you are on mac there are a few more good ones, Sublime again, texmate, MacVim and others. Sublime is the new hotness in the developer community and you won’t go wrong with it. When programming you’ll spend most of your time thinking, not writing code, so just pick a damn text editor and get on with it. Then we need two more things, a way to run it on your computer, known as local development and a way to get it up to wherever you get some server hosting. To run your code locally, just means running it on your computer. To set this up you can download WAMP for windows or MAMP for mac. The AMP stands for Apache, mySQL and PHP. These programs set up the server stack on your computer, then you put your code in the correct directory and your computer acts as the server. Now your site runs without being connected to the internet and you can test stuff before moving it to your live site. To move your code use an FTP program, we recommend CyberDuck, which works on Mac and PC. This program gives you an interface to move files to your server. We’ll talk about where to get your domain name and server next. Stick around. Categorie Wetenschap en technologie Licentie Standaard YouTube-licentie

Top 6 Tips for Optimizing Your RSS

By Daisy Graham Jones  |   Submitted On July 31, 2016

If you're completely new to blogging and don't know what the RSS fuss is all about, RSS simply stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is a family of web feed formats that is automatically updated regularly. So in blogging this is usually in the form of blog posts. Each time you publish a blog post, whoever is subscribed to your RSS feed, be it via book marking or email, they'll automatically be updated or notified of the new post. In a nutshell that is the simplest way to understand RSS...

What do we mean when we say optimizing your RSS? Let me explain -

When I'm talking about optimizing your RSS I mean taking steps to ensure that your RSS is performing effectively, to attract new subscribers to your content, aka your blog. Let's take a look -

Tips for Optimizing your RSS

Bowl them over with mind blowing and content awesomeness...
First thing's first, if you don't provide exceptionally great quality and resourceful content, the 5 remaining tips below will be worthless to you...

Offer full RSS
Offer your readers both options for subscribing either by RSS bookmarking, or email opt-in for RSS updates.

Make it unique
Think about the design of your RSS icon and the design of your RSS email opt-in form. Make it unique; add some extra texts or incentives for enticing readers to subscribe. Don't bombard it so that it looks like a billboard ad, just make it stand out.

Make it Visible & easy subscribe
Whilst you can make your RSS unique, don't paddle backwards by making it a challenge for readers to find your RSS subscriber icon or opt-in.

I've visited many blogs where I've enjoyed reading the content, but felt so damn frustrated because I couldn't find the RSS subscription form or icon. In the footer is a no!, hidden in a page somewhere else on your blog no, no, no!, not having any... worst still! Top of the side bar and below your posts is often the best places for having RSS icon and subscriber form.

Also make it easy for readers to subscribe, don't give them questionnaires or a list of radial buttons to check, just make it really simple.

Let them know what it's all about
Don't assume that everyone knows what that big orange square RSS logo means. Consider teaching your readers about RSS; write a couple of posts or do a video tutorial explaining what it's all about and the value of subscribing to an RSS feed. Education is the best policy in any blogging niche...

Don't give them too many other options
My last tip is for those who want to greatly increase their RSS subscriber count. Don't offer your readers too many other options for subscribing. You'll see many bloggers putting RSS icon with social icons and everything else, this isn't a bad thing at all so please don't get me wrong here, but if you're really want to increase subscribers, place RSS close to the top in your sidebar and place the rest i.e. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube further down below.

So just to recap the tips for optimizing your RSS using bullet points, because we all love bullet points right? Yeah... I thought so...

Give readers awesome content
Offer full RSS
Make it unique, visible and easy to subscribe
Let your readers know what RSS really is
Don't give readers too many other options (If you want to increase RSS subscribers)
What do you think?

Well those are my tips for optimizing your RSS and getting the best out of using it to get more subscribers. I now want to hear your thoughts, or perhaps you have your own tips you'd like to share. Please do so in the comment section below as always

How 6 New Changes Coming to AdWords Will Affect AdSense Publishers

By Eyal A Katz  |   Submitted On June 02, 2016

In case you've lived in a well for the past couple of years, Google is absolutely in-love with mobile traffic. We don't need to tell you why - you already know that's where the audience is. But mobile is also where the largest potential for growth lies.

Ad networks have yet to fully crack or hack mobile advertising campaigns, which means there's still a ways to go to make advertisers and users happy.

But does Google still love us, publishers? Well, the messages we got from the GPS event were somewhat mixed. Most of them had little to do with AdSense directly, but can indirectly affect your earnings. So which direction will your AdSense revenues go, with these new updates on the AdWords side of the ad marketplace?

It's all about location, location, location - Local Search on Google Maps
The new Google Maps are going to offer attractive advertising capabilities for small businesses and local chain branches based on user location as well as other data.

Sounds pretty good for AdWords advertisers but what does this mean for AdSense publishers?

More Inventory = Less Competition

The laws of supply and demand tell us that if we increase supply of a certain product to satisfy increased demand we'll effectively stop prices from going up.

Or in digital advertising terms - more ad inventory means diminished demand for every ad unit and diminished CPCs and CPMs. Unless, with more inventory come greater ad budgets, especially if the new inventory is effective for advertisers. So this can actually be a blessing in disguise for AdSense publishers.

Search vs. Display

Google prefers clicks on their own turf. Of course they do. They don't have to share their revenues with publishers there. So offering a Google-owned locale-targeted inventory to advertisers is more than likely to take a bite out of that local search traffic.

Who Gets Paid for Embedded Maps?

will Google be adding ads to embedded Google Maps, and if so - who gets the revenue from the clicks in these local ads?

Another good question is what will happen to said ad units and publishers making a good living from in-map AdSense ads?

Who is bigger better for? - Expanded Text Ads Get Double Headlines & More Characters
Advertisers will now be able to include a two lines of 30 character each in clickable titles on their text ads, and 80 characters for a description line. Overall, this promises longer ads taking up more screen space in mobile searches.

This is great for search advertisers and Google, but for anyone trying to get organic traffic to monetize this is bad news. Looks like paid search ads are worth more to Google than the content you invested in making.

The Dread (or not) of Smart Pricing - Better Measurement of In-Store Conversions
At GPS, Google announced they will now be cross-checking users' mobile location history with PPC ads they've clicked and then attributing conversions to AdWords campaigns accordingly.

The goal of increased conversion measurement is to attract more advertisers. If Google is successful in this, it just means higher demand for AdSense inventory. And that will make everyone happy.

Not Just Responsive Ad Units - New Responsive Display Ads
Creating image ads for all ad sizes can be a pain. Especially for a small business advertiser. So often, you end up uploading image or flash ads in the most common sizes, and that's about it.

Google wants more competition between more advertisers over more inventory. By letting advertisers create responsive ads that can fit in more ad units, Google basically does just that. And this is great for everyone.

Targeting Your Device - Changes to device bidding
Google hopes (and we do too) that this will allow advertisers to spend their budgets more effectively and scale their ad spend quickly. Which would lead to more AdSense revenue for you (and Google).

Retargeting Gone Open - Lift on AdWords Demand Restriction
Other ad networks can display retargeting ads to users instead of AdSense, where AdSense is not implemented.

This might reduce CPCs for retargeting ads on AdSense, and hurt publishers relying on AdSense for revenues.

Local, Mobile, and Advertiser Oriented

Overall, the announcements at GPS are very advertiser oriented, and especially SMB (small to medium business) advertising budgets that have started to migrate over to the big F in increasing numbers.

What the Market Research Paid Surveys Are All About

By Sean Weisner  |   Submitted On August 01, 2016

Take your time to explore the different internet surveys and you will find that there is abundance of paid surveys ubiquitously. Also, the strength of market research survey companies is higher than standard survey companies and the big difference between them is that former companies pay better than the standard ones. However, do you know the nitty-gritty of the survey jobs? Let us take a look at the Paid Online Surveys in the following paragraphs in detail.

A paid survey, in general, is a questionnaire that is put forwarded to a person/group to get the required feedback or opinion on a specific product or service. The surveys are sent to people who possess good knowledge on a specific them.

The next type of survey in a rage these days is focus group. This requires group discussions and effort. It usually takes several days to finish and costs much higher than the usual type of surveys. If you want to earn more, try looking into focus group surveys. However, you must have a good set of records to get these complex types of surveys.

So, what inspires a company to prodigally spend on these internet surveys? This is simply because they become aware of the viewpoints of the intended audiences about the products/services and their existing/potential requirements too. In order to maintain the popularity and demand, it is essential for companies to cater to the needs and demands of the consumers. These surveys are typically a cardinal constituent of their research, planning and promotional scheme. Market Research Survey companies offer a variety of offers concerning compensation; incentives, rewards and freebies to get a number of people partake in surveys.

When it involves compensation, it is either big or small demanding on the standing of the company you are working with and the type of survey you have accepted to carry out. Evidently, if the company is large and have good revenues stable, then the odds are that it will pay high rates. Surveys that are drawn out and are more complex, in general, consume several days to carry out will offer you more sum of money.

Anyone with an eye to the main chance will like to accept as many as surveys as possible. Completing paid surveys is uncomplicated and fun. Just make sure that you are signing up a legit survey site otherwise, there are high odds that your efforts will go in vain.

There was a time when only big players of the domain enjoyed all the advertising benefits on offer. Small entities had absolutely no chance to compete against the financial might of big brands. They had to settle with whatever little their advertising budget could afford. A similar story played out in the digital world where big businesses walked away with the lion's share of banner advertising and left virtually nothing for their small brothers. All this came to an end with the arrival of tools that could help create amazing designs for banner ads. Since then, a level playing field has been established in the domain.

The scenario is changed now as small businesses can easily compete with big players of the domain as they have tools for help. They too can get as charming and attractive banner ads as big entities and they too can spread their messages in the digital world with an effortless ease. They needn't even bother about hiring a team of graphic designers to get awesome designs for banner ads. They can, in fact, hope to stand out in the market on the basis their sustained efforts in banner advertising, and also on the basis of some amazing ads.

All this has become possible because the market is now flooded with tools that help businesses design their own ads and leverage banner advertising to core. Such tools can help anyone create multiple designs at once and then select the best from the available lot. What's more, these tools let your small business save some serious money, time and efforts that are otherwise needed with banner advertising. In a way, banner advertising is no longer the preserve of only those that have a deep purse to splurge without any care in the world. Rather, its benefits are available to one and all and that too, in an equal manner.

With so much benefits to avail, it makes a lot of sense for us to understand those tools well and then try to leverage them in a superior manner. We should know that most of those tools are PHP-coded and they are highly responsive in nature. Similarly, they support all major web browsers in the world and deliver compatibility across devices or screen sizes. Using them, it's easy to add text and arches effects, upload images and rotate texts and images. They can be used to change background, add art and save all those designs with ease. More so, a lot of templates and themes come packed with these tools.

Quite clearly, businesses now have a chance to select from some of the best banner design software to score big with banner advertising. These tools are helpful in many ways and they help businesses gain a lot with banner advertising despite being short on resources. They not only make advertising campaigns a success but also restore the much-needed sanity in a domain where big players have always dominated the scene. These tools are a great chance for small businesses to realize their true potential and achieve success. After all, it takes a lot to convert users into prospects.

The Banner designer software makes easy to design your banner ads as you wish or you can use your advertising platform to reach your audience everywhere.

With our banner designer tool you can easily create banners of your choice. You can create multiple designs and then choose the best one. This will help you save time and money as you don't need a designer to create several mock-ups of the banner design for you.

Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) - Is Monitoring Beneficial?

By Jovia D'Souza  |   Submitted On August 16, 2016

MAP, minimum advertised price can be defined as an agreement between suppliers and retailers that stipulates the lowest price that is allowed to be advertised on given items. The MAP policy is especially critical for manufacturers who sell products for online reselling by third parties. This has become very important considering that consumers now conduct online and mobile comparisons of prices before then can make a purchase. The MAP policies can also be helpful for small businesses in terms of competing and selling as compared to engaging in price wars.

Minimum advertised pricing, however relates only to advertised pricing. This essentially means that you get limited to the price that you can advertise on MAP protected products, but you can sell the products at a price of your choice usually guided by MSRP, the manufacturer suggested retail price. Retailers can incur fines and penalties from suppliers if they end up violating the MAP contracts. The manufacturer has the legal right to withdraw products from stores that violate and even impose restrictions that they don't sell the products again.

MAP monitoring

One of the best ways of protecting your brand and also maintaining seller profit margins is by monitoring compliance of the MAP policy. As a distributor or brand you can use the monitoring to discover violations so you can take necessary actions. The monitoring is also important in helping you know whether competitors are violating agreements. Below are some of the major benefits of having MAP monitoring.

1. It offers manufactures the valuable yardstick they need to assess prices across the retailers. On the other hand the monitoring also gives the retailers the valuable yardstick to see what the competition is charging for identical products.

2. It helps in the prevention of unseemly discounting that could end up lowering the product value in the customer's eyes. Manufacturers are able to keep the brand image protected using the monitoring so that no one violates the agreements.

3. MAP helps in keeping price wars at bay so that products do not end up getting devalued. The policies level out playing field as far as efficiency and operational costs go for all including retailers that need to maintain their good reputation among customers.

4. Monitoring procures evidence needed for proving the violation. The evidence can be used by the manufacturers to make other comply with the agreements. The information gathered through MAP monitoring is also used to renegotiate manufacturer or supplier pricing and can still be used in following up to see whether compliance occurs as agreed.

The truth is that it can be very tricky for retailers and manufacturers to effectively manage and monitor pricing rules and violation impacts if they do not have the right tools to do so. It is for this reason that MAP monitoring tools have been developed to help ease checking and assessing price compliance to maintain fair competition. Through a reliable system, you can identify and monitor as well as contact violators. You will get all the evidence you need to make a decision to improve the situation.

MAP policy can be hard to execute, but when you have the most suitable monitoring system and services, you can relax knowing that your brand remains protected by fair agreed prices.

How Robocaptioning Breaks the Unwritten Agreements

By Stephen Erstad  |   Submitted On June 18, 2016

Communication is a two-way street. It starts with the unwritten agreements, that communication is worthwhile, that it's important to us, that we will do whatever we can to communicate with clarity and transparency. Maybe you want to tell a story or impart significant information to someone who needs it. Maybe you're trying to sell someone something. If your audience or customer speaks English, chances are you're not going to bombard them with Greek if you can help it. If you and your audience don't submit to this simple agreement to speak the same language, the effects can be confusing, misleading and even deceptive. True as this is for spoken English, it's perhaps even more true for closed captioning services.

Say you've spent millions of dollars making a film. Every dollar is up there on the screen. Countless hours have been spent perfecting the look, the sound of the movie. But a sizable portion of your audience has difficulty hearing, and when they hit the CC button they are all too frequently confounded by missing words, misspellings and entire dropped phrases.

All of a sudden, your audience is paying less attention to the action on the screen and instead trying to decipher the Greek that has suddenly appeared. Perhaps the producers of the film chose to save a few bucks with robocaptioning, in which voice-activated software, rather than human workers, are employed to create subtitles. The irony here is that while this service is meant to enhance a viewer's entertainment, it frequently ends up diminishing it. One might even think that the makers of the video are providing closed captioning services only as an afterthought. If they looked at the growing numbers of people in America who rely on closed captioning services, they might realize they're damaging their relationship with a sizable audience.

Or what if your company makes educational videos? Even more than with entertainment, videos that purport to train viewers are expected to carry authority in their presentation. What happens to the authority of the teachers on the screen when the closed captioning that accompanies them is slipshod, inaccurate or just plain misleading?

Imagine the horror of having to read robocaptioning in an online video that is meant to be teaching English as a second language. What is a student to think when they can't trust the accuracy of the closed captioning services? In short, poor closed captioning, particularly when generated via robocaptioning, impedes retention of information, distracts the viewer (since errors tend to call attention to the captioning itself rather than the sense it's trying to convey), and consequently slows comprehension or stops it altogether for the viewer.

Or maybe you get the bulk of your news and public affairs information from television or Internet video?

If you're a conscientious citizen with a hearing difficulty, you might start to think that the purveyors of public information don't take you very seriously.

How to Block Email Spam

By Greg Nicholl  |   Submitted On February 25, 2011

Spam email is such an intrusion into our lives. We don't want it, we didn't ask for it and yet it comes right into our home to bother us. Some spam is very offensive. Some spam is X rated and children might be looking over our shoulder. Spam can take a lot of time to deal with and can seem almost overwhelming. Most of the software programs that we use to read email and many of the Internet Service Providers offer effective ways to deal with spam. The catch is that it requires a small investment of time and study to learn to apply the spam filers that we have within our reach.

There are two ways to filter spam mail: at the server and at our desktop email program. Since I have previously written on setting up spam filters at the server level, on a hosting account, I will touch on spam filtering that works within POP email accounts.

Setting Up Filtering With Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook 2010 has a very simple spam filtering system which will help reduce the amount of spam you have to deal with. To begin right click on the spam mail in question. Go the option entitled "Junk" near the bottom of the menu. You will see options to "Block Sender," "Never Block Sender," "Never Block Sender's Domain" and so forth. If you choose Block Sender you will never get email from anyone at that address again.

There is an option called "Junk Email Options." If you choose that you will get a wizard in which you can turn on spam filtering for your account. Your choices are No Filtering, Low Filtering, High Filtering, and Safe Lists Only. Under the Low and High Filtering options there is a line which describes the meaning of each option. "Safe Lists Only" means that you will need to manually form a Safe List. Then only the email from addresses on your Safe List arrives at your inbox. All other mail is then deleted. At the top of the Junk Email Options wizard is a tab called Blocked Senders. The Blocked Senders option prevents mail from all blocked addresses being delivered to your inbox and routes it to the Trash Bin. You can fill the Blocked Senders list by right clicking on any unwanted email and choosing to block that sender.

Another important setting is one which will permanently delete junk mail. If you chose this option all junk mail is permanently deleted. This option is not recommended for many users since the Trash Bin gives us a second chance to recover wrongfully deleted mail.

If you choose High filtering your email must meet a very high standard to avoid the Junk Folder. These filters are not perfect and you may lose a wanted mail message from time to time. If you are expecting mail and do not receive it you can go to the Junk Folder and check if it is there. To find the Junk Folder just double click your Inbox folder icon. The entire folder directory under Inbox will now open and you will see Junk Folder. Double click the Junk Folder and you will see the messages in it. Go to the message from your friend and right click on it. Choose "Junk" near the bottom of the menu. Then click "Never Block Sender". Now you will not lose mail from that sender.

The Outlook Filters Are Not Perfect

The spam filters built into Microsoft Office are not perfect but they offer some level of protection. Spammers are tricky, creative and very persistent. You will find that some spam mail will make its way into your mail box despite the filters. I recommended that you set the spam filters with your Internet Service Provider to work along with Outlook's filters. Feel free to make some adjustments to your Outlook filters. If you do not receive email send by a friend; don't forget to check for it in the Junk Email Folder. The Microsoft website offers more information about Outlook's email filters.

Setting Spam Filters For Mozilla Thunderbird

Thunderbird is a free Open Source mail program offered by the Mozilla Foundations which also produces the Firefox web browser. Thunderbird is one of the top alternatives to Microsoft Outlook. Firefox offers a very strong spam filter system. We will take a look at setting up junk mail filters on Thunderbird.

When you have set up your email account in Thunderbird (you may have several email accounts within the program) you will see an icon for it in the left sidebar of the program. Highlight your account and you will see a list of options in the larger right column. Click "View settings for this account." Click "Junk Settings" on the left of the popup that appears. The first option that is available is to "Enable adaptive junk mail settings for this account." Check that box. The next option gives all the addresses in your Personal Address Book exemption from the filtering process. Check that since you approve of all of those senders.

The next option to "Trust Junk Mail Headers set by SpamAssassin" is very powerful. SpamAssassin is a very accurate Spam Scoring system that runs on many hosting servers and Internet Service Providers. If you have SpamAssassin on your hosting account or the ISP where your email originates you may use this option. In using this option you are giving Thunderbird permission to delete junk mail when it is marked as junk or spam by the SpamAssassin program. This means that once you have configured SpamAssassin at the server or ISP level, your email will receive a spam score before it hits your inbox. Thunderbird will read this score and move all mail with a sufficiently high score to the Junk Folder when it reaches your computer. This is very effective. Your only worry is if the scoring is set too severely and occasionally good email goes to the Junk Folder. If this happens you can put that email address in your address book and you will get all mail from that person.

Finally you chose where to put the junk mail. You may chose the Junk Folder for this particular account or another folder of your choosing. Chose the one under this account and you will know where to look if you lose good mail. That is it; junk filters are now configured in Thunderbird.

The setting of junk or spam filters can seen a little complex at first. It may take a little study and trial and error at first. These filters will give you a lot of relief once they are in place.. The effort will be worthwhile if you hate spam as much as I do.

Do you need help figuring out SpamAssassin and all of the junk mail settings that are available to you? I can help. Visit my website and contact me and I will help configure Spam filters and SpamAssassin at your server and offer advice in dealing with POP software settings. I also offer services in dealing for email marketing and Autoresponders.
